Project Summary

The goal behind this project is to help local No's to build sustainable resource and development. Because RCDP has built partnerships with these organizations, it has allowed both parties to continually practice satisfying development. Volunteers in Argentina can use their unique backgrounds such as social sciences, social work, education, psychology, sociology, economics, management, marketing, political science, and lend these talents to the local organizations. The idea is through education the local organizations and the people can lead positive, healthy, and sustainable lives.

Skill/Qualification

Volunteers with basic or intermediate knowledge of Spanish will be able to volunteer effectively. If you do not have any knowledge of Spanish, please consider joining our Spanish program while volunteering in Cordoba. Volunteers are also required to have patience, flexibility and enthusiasm for teaching English as the mentality of the people will be very different from what you're used to back home. During teaching, volunteers are expected to wear decent clothes, no shorts, sleeveless shirts are allowed.

Volunteers will work from Monday to Friday for about 4-6 hours a day. There are varieties of task the volunteers can undertake. These include teaching English or other subjects, being involved in fundraising, working in administration or even management or with the children, institutional development working and networking with local government. Other work includes assisting medical staff, organizing recreational activities, helping the kitchen staff and helping the public library.

Project Location

The project is located in Cordoba, which has a cultural rich history and colonial charm. Cordoba has been home for a great many writers, artists, and musicians. The streets and character of the city offer much stimulation and are quite exciting to experience. The urban environment offers a plentitude for volunteers to experience, and there are also nearby nature opportunities in the Andes and Pampas.
