Work in Underprivileged Children Care Centers in South Africa

Volunteer to assist local underprivileged children care center’s staff and provide good care for disadvantaged children so they can live healthy, confident, and positive childhoods.

Cape Town is one of the largest cities in South Africa. There are people in the city who live luxurious lives there, while there are also people who toil every day to survive and children who do not have parents and must depend on underprivileged children care centers for their survival. Various social-economic problems like poverty, disease and neglect have turned many South African children into helpless and disadvantaged. The underprivileges children care centers looking after the children are doing a good job of raising, feeding, clothing and educating the children. But most of these centers face shortages of funds and volunteers to help raise the children. Assistance is urgently required. RCDP International has been working in collaboration with local underprivileged children care centers in South Africa to give the quality of life the disadvantaged children deserve. The underprivileged children care centers need dedicated volunteers to help their work be more effective and successful.

Your Activities as a Volunteer

As a volunteer in underprivileged children care center in South Africa, you will have many things to do to help the children and the center. Your duties might include any or all of the following:

Project Skills Required

There are no specific qualifications required to join this disadvantaged children support project. Volunteers must produce police clearance certificate to volunteer. You must also be enthusiastic about caring for others and empathetic to the unfortunate. You are also expected to be open-minded, resourceful and patience.

Project Location

This project is located in Cape Town, the legislative capital of South Africa. Cape Town is the quintessential melting pot; it is a city alive with creativity, color, sounds and tastes. While walking through the city’s streets and meeting its people, you will fall in love with its natural beauty, creative freedom and incredible spirit. Stellenbosch is located about 50 km east of Cape Town and has a population of just over 100 hundred thousand. It lies in a hilly region and is sheltered in a valley at an average elevation of 136m. The area around Stellenbosch is known as wine country and has a very lush environment.
