Construction Project in Thailand
During your spring break volunteering opportunities in Thailand you will be working on a construction project in a northwestern district of Thailand called Sangkhlaburi (near the border of Myanmar). The close proximity of Sangkhlaburi with Myanmar has caused an increase in the number of undocumented immigrants.
The immigrants are deprived of citizenship and therefore lack access to health care facilities and education. Non-governmental bodies and non-profit organizations are working towards making a difference in their life by providing them with the necessary support
While volunteering on a construction project in Thailand during spring break you will be working on the construction and restoration of the region. There will be an orientation program where you will be briefed about your work. Your coordinator will accompany you to the site and help you with translation and other activities.
At the beginning, you will be introduced to traditional building techniques by a local Thai expert. During the spring break volunteering opportunity in Thailand you will be learning to mix cement manually using traditional Thai tools, dig foundations for the structure of the building and take part in activities necessary for construction.

You are required to be resourceful, flexible and patient, while dealing with people. During your spring break volunteering program in Uganda you will be dealing with HIV infected people while discussing strategies and tracking the progress of the on-going program. You will be travelling to different villages for counseling, organizing seminars and distributing resources (food and clothes).
You do not need any specific qualification to volunteer for this project. Showing support to counseling groups, making strategies and working with local Aids Support Organizations in Jinja will be part of your volunteering program. You will be giving first aid treatment and donating clothes, food and medicine during your spring break in Uganda.
Elephant Conservation in Sri Lanka

Tanzania is one of the poorest countries of Africa and the government with limited resources cannot help the orphans. The young children are forced to live on a street. While seeking work they are exploited. The children even get involved in petty crimes to survive.
During the volunteering program abroad in Tanzania you will be working with local orphanages for the welfare of the children.
Care, passion and compassion for the children is important. You will be expected to be patient, open-minded and resourceful during the spring break volunteering program in Tanzania.
Teaching is a primary activity and you will be teaching English, Math or any other subject in your capacity as well as helping the children with their homework. Imparting knowledge on the importance of personal hygiene will be part of your volunteering program.

Turtle conservation in Mexico
Over the years the population of sea turtles has been decimated, but there are many organizations working towards the conservation of the turtles. The efforts of the organizations has shown positive results in rehabilitating the population along with their environment.
You will be protecting the habitat of the turtles with the help of local professions.
As a participant of the spring break volunteering project of saving Turtles in Mexico you will be working in an area of 10 kilometers on the beach, while surveying their natural habitat. Capturing and releasing the animals, tagging them, following their movements and studying their habitat will be part of your volunteering program.
You will be workingboth during the day and night. In the daytime you will be working in the campsite. Your responsibility as a volunteer will include saving the hatchlings, cleaning out the nest, and preventing contamination of the area.
Your active participation will be expected during the environmental educational programs and other aspects of the wildlife monitoring program, including recording local crocodile populations and compiling the list of species in the area.
Besides having passion for the welfare of the animals, there is no specific requirement for saving Turtles in Mexico during your spring break volunteering program. If you can speak Spanish then it will be easier for communication.

Although a medical degree will be strong start, it is not a requirement. You will be contributing as per your capabilities if you are not from a medical background. A medical professional needs to provide their documents. A medical professional will be serving as per one’s skill and experience during the spring break volunteering program in Peru.
You will be treating minor injuries, assisting midwives on visits, giving maternal help, childcare, checking and recording the information of patients, assisting in the consulting room and helping in the dispensary and during physiotherapy.
Teaching in South Africa
Since English is one of the most widely spoken languages of South Africa, it is important for children to learn the language. Children who come from a poor family background lack quality education, which could affect the future of the children.
Your small effort of teaching English in South Africa during spring break holds significant importance for those children in need.
While volunteering during the spring break in South Africa you will be taking classes, assisting in preparing the curriculum and even organizing various activities for the children. Volunteers are expected to be highly motivated, enthusiastic and patient while dealing with children.
To join the spring break volunteering abroad program of teaching English in South Africa you need to submit a copy of your resume along with your educational certificate and education. A police clearance certificate will be required as well. You will be teaching for 2 to 3 hours a day from Monday to Friday.
You can choose to teach in kindergarten, primary or secondary level as per your convenience. Either you can teach on your own or with the help of a local teacher.
Teaching conversational English, Science or Math to the students of primary level or secondary level will be your primary job as a volunteer of the spring break abroad program in South Africa.
