Teaching in Buddhist Temple School
There are more than thirty thousand Buddhist temples in Thailand, where monks live, study and meditate. Apart from their traditional activities, the monks are actively engaged in social work. A part of their social work is running a school for students from poor families to study.
English is one of the subjects taught in the school, but there aren’t enough teachers to teach and the temples are required to pay the fees of the teachers.
To make a huge difference in the lives of the children, RCDP is offering a community service volunteering program for college students in Thailand to teach in a temple school. No prior teaching experience is required to enroll in this program.
You must be fluent in English to teach the students. Volunteers are expected to be patient, flexible and respectful towards the Buddhist tradition of Thailand.
You will be teaching English to the students of primary and secondary school during the community service program for college students in Thailand. Following the official curriculum of English, you will be teaching local students for only 5 days a week on Monday to Friday.

Special Children Project

Work in Community Development Project in Cambodia

A minimum of 6 weeks commitment is required to join the volunteering program for students in Cambodia. There is no specific requirement to participate in this program, but you will be expected to be patient and flexible. Organizing community events, training and workshops, improving local healthcare programs, creating awareness on prevention of diseases, assisting non-government office in the locality and helping in administrative tasks will be part of your college student community service program in Cambodia.
Assisting in community water supply & sanitation, helping in the library, helping the community to create income generating activities, teaching small business development and organizing small development projects might be your responsibility while volunteering.
You will also be helping the local people with farming, gardening, seed varieties and more.
